Before a recruiter ever reads your CV, screening software scans it first — and a résumé in the wrong language usually doesn't make it through. Prezumi translates the CV you already have into the local language, keeps it ATS-safe, and matches how résumés are written in that market.

Translate once per target country from a single profile, then download and apply, with no rewriting from scratch. Your name, employers, dates, and contact details stay exactly as they are; only your real wording changes language, and you review every line in the editor first.

Open more markets from one profile

Produce a version of the same CV for each country you target: Spanish for Spain, German for a Lebenslauf, French for France, or English for international and remote roles. Keep one profile and translate it per market.

What the translator gets right

A CV is not an essay, and a generic machine translator treats it like one. This one is built for the format.

  • Your layout stays put: text is translated string by string, so the template, columns, and spacing you chose don't move. You get a finished CV, not a wall of text to reformat.
  • Dates and formats adapt — month names and date order follow the target language instead of being copied across literally.
  • The right things stay untouched: your name, company names, email, phone, and links are left as-is rather than mangled by translation.
  • You edit afterward. The result opens in the AI editor, so you can fix a job title, adjust a phrase, or reword a bullet for the local market before downloading.

Translating for a specific country? A translated CV still has to match local expectations — a German Lebenslauf and a US resume are not the same document.

How it works

  • Import your CV — Start a project from your existing resume — upload a PDF, DOC, or DOCX and the AI reads it into an editable profile.
  • Pick the target language — Open Translate, choose one of the 8 languages, and the AI rewrites each field. The source language is detected for you.
  • Review and download — Check the translated text, tweak anything in the editor, and download the PDF free — or keep both language versions as separate projects.

Translate a CV without breaking it

Applying abroad rarely fails because you aren't qualified — it fails at the first automated gate. Most large employers screen CVs with an applicant tracking system (ATS) before a person reads them, and a Harvard Business School study found that 88% of employers agree qualified candidates get filtered out at that stage. Language is a big part of it: for example, an employer in Germany, Spain, or Italy expects a Lebenslauf, a currículum, or a curriculum written in their own language and laid out the way that market reads, so an English-only CV is often cut before review. Prezumi takes the CV you already have and rewrites every line into the target language — keeping your name, employers, and dates exactly as they are — so the version you send reads like it was written locally and parses cleanly on the software that screens it first.

The common case is translating a CV to English for an international job, but it works the other way too: an English resume into a German Lebenslauf, a Spanish currículum, or an Italian curriculum for a local application. Because the translation happens in the AI editor, you can adjust wording for the target market before you export, and run the result through the ATS checker to confirm it still parses cleanly. Which languages can I translate my CV between?

Eight, in any combination: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, and Arabic. You can translate from any of them into any other — the source language is detected automatically, so you only choose the target. Arabic is handled right-to-left, so the layout flips correctly rather than leaving the text misaligned.

Will translating break my resume's formatting?

No, and that's the point of doing it here instead of in a document translator. The translation replaces the text field by field inside your project, so the template, columns, spacing, and section order stay exactly as they were. Your name, company names, email, phone, and links are kept in their original form rather than translated, so nothing important gets mangled.

Is the CV translator free?

Starting is free, and downloading the finished PDF is free. Running a translation happens in the AI editor and costs a small number of Prezens (Prezumi's AI credits), because it calls a language model on every field. You review the result before you export, and you can keep the original and translated versions as two separate projects.

Is an AI translation good enough for a job application?

For a CV, usually yes, because the text is short, factual, and made of standard professional phrasing that models handle well. The safeguard is that nothing is submitted automatically: the translated CV opens in the editor so you can read every line, fix a job title that has a specific local equivalent, and adjust wording for the target market before downloading.

Should I just translate my CV word for word into English?

A faithful translation is the right start, but a strong application often needs small local adjustments on top — grade systems, job titles, and CV conventions differ by country. That's why the translation lands in the editor rather than a download: you get an accurate base, then tune it.
