US letter grades run from A down to F, usually with plus and minus modifiers, and each letter maps to a fixed grade point. An A is 4.0 and roughly 93 to 100 percent, a B is 3.0, a C is 2.0, and an F is a fail below about 60 percent. The Indian CGPA is the cumulative grade point average used by CBSE and most Indian universities, reported on a 10-point scale.
